I get by with a little help from my friends!!

Oh, I need help!! Seriously. But more on that in a moment.

I could not let this week go by without saying Happy Birthday to my blog. Yep, it's hard to believe that this week last year I jumped out into the wonderful world of blogging and have loved every minute of it!!

I would love to give someone a gift to commemorate the past 365 days. And yes, there's a catch.

But, more on that in another moment.

Ok, so here is where I need a little help from my sista friends. Starting in October I am conducting a monthly class entitled She Grows. The sessions are interactive and designed to grow you as we plant spiritual truths into the daily soil of our lives.

I have some topics already hammered out like...

Grocery Stores, Traffic James and Long Lines, Oh My!

The Enemy of Envy

Developing a Negative

This Isn't What I Had Planned

I would REALLY LOVE your input on what you feel are some more major struggles you face today and what other topics you would benefit from studying on a deeper level.

Also, I have scheduled out the dates through next September for once a month on Saturday mornings at 9:30am, with a continental breakfast included. But I am wondering if a Friday night would work better seeing as most women are already out and about.

So here is the catch, for everyone who posts a comment with their thoughts and ideas for topics AND which day they feel is best, Friday nights or Saturday mornings, they will be placed in a drawing for my most favorite Christian fiction book, Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers AND my most favorite Christmas CD, Joy by Avalon (It actually stays in my car's CD changer all year, no joke!).

I will post the winner Monday afternoon!!

THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH for helping a sista out!! Can't wait to hear your thoughts on the matter!!

All my heart,

BTW, the monthly classes will be conducted at the Epicenter on Main Street in Downtown Alachua, Florida. And yes, EVERYONE is welcome to attend!!

Hey Tina I think this sounds wonderful. Love your ideas so far. Here is my thought topic "Where have all the morals gone?" I could probably make some Friday nights. Appreciate all that you do.

Hi Tina! Love your blog... it always gives me something to think about and reminds me where I come from. A friend of mine and I were talking not too long ago and she told me how when her Husband asked her Dad for her hand, he made the comment to him that he was not only giving his daughter away he was giving him the responsibility of giving her to Jesus when it was her time. Meaning he had raised her and been her spiritual walking buddy all her life, but he was trusting her husband to walk with her in faith the rest of the way. That has stuck with me for weeks. I don't know about you, but I wasn't thinking of that on my wedding day. I think we get so caught up in our daily lives that we forget to slow down and walk in faith with each other. I could go on and on, but it would turn into a sermon! ...just something I've been thinking about. And, since I'm in Dallas, either night is good for me!
Thank you for your thoughts... keep them coming!

Looking forward to Saturday mornings - unless of course, we have a building by then and don't have to have rehearsal on Friday nights!
Balancing full-time job(because I have to), ministry (because I'm called to) and family/domestic life (because I love them and hate a dusty house), without losing your sanity and totally exhausting yourself.

Saturday morning sounds good...then those who have a drive could come too.

Topic ideas...Increasing your Faith in Hard Times.....

On my blog I have a pray for Andrew button...if you follow that button to his mom's blog and then click to the update (here) where she is posting their battle...a brain tumor diagnosed on her 12 year old son...first inoperable they have done one surgery to save his life..but it is cancer...when you read her updates in the midst of all this...........you realize..you just thought you had faith....I want that kind of faith..its the kind we all need, not only for ourselves but for others. And pray for Andrew and ask the church to pray. His surgery was actually done there in Gville

Saturdays are good for me until we get our own building and as for a topic, PRAYER, there are so many women who can talk about anything all day long but struggle during their times with God, what to say, how to pray God's word, how to pray in faith believing God is a God of His word and so forth. Our ability to develope an intimate relationship with the Father through our prayer lives is one of the single most vital aspects of our christian walk.

Hi Tina, Friday nights would be good for me and I would love to attend. I think a great topic would be what the order of relationships should be..putting God first and making your husband your best friend, for the ladies who don't have a husband...how to wait on God and let Him be your husband.

Hey Tina! OK I think Saturdays are best. I was looking forward to your message on not over obligating yourself/prioritizing your life. Another Idea: Be a Leading Lady (A Leader to those around you, Lead someone to Christ, Lead others to grow in ministry). Thanks for being an inspiration and for being my sista!!!!

I think a great topic for a woman's group would be dealing with the hurt feelings one experiences when she recieves those fake smiles from the other women, but it is painfully obvious that she is not welcome into the "Inner Circle". What do you think?
