When a Plan Comes Together

For those of you who are reading through the Bible with me this year we read these very famous scriptures today...

Write my answer (the vision) plainly on tablets so that a runner can carry the correct message to others.  This vision is for a future time.  It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled.  If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place.  It will not be delayed.
Habakkuk 2:2-3

If there is one thing I know about God, it is that He is a God with a plan (Jeremiah 29:11).  If there is one thing I know about us, it is that we place a time frame on that plan.

I was so encouraged today as I read the words, wait patiently, for it will surely take place.

Ever since God called us to Christ Central Alachua we have known that God has a plan for our lives and for our church.  And more than once my husband and I have said the words, Either we trust God or we don't, as we have waited patiently for His plans to come together.

Let me bring back to your remembrance one of our verses from yesterday that said, The Lord is good... He is close to those who trust Him (Nahum 1:7).

I want to be so close to God that I can know what He wants of me before He even asks. Like yesterday at lunch, my husband said the words, I need a..., and before he even finished his sentence I was getting him a napkin.

How did I know what he wanted?  After almost 20 years of marriage together I know him.

That's how close I want to be to God.  That's how I want to know Him.  To do that, verse 7 said we have to trust Him.

So today, I say it again, either we trust Him or we don't to bring the vision and plan together He has laid out for our lives.

And the great benefit of waiting is... we will get to know Him better.  And the more you know God, the more you will trust God with every aspect of your life!

I love it when a plan comes together.

Especially a plan from God.

Trusting as I wait,
