Prayer for Moms ~ Part 5

Last week I began posting the prayers from our Mother’s Day service at CCA.  If you missed any of the prayers thus far, they are listed below. You can click here to read all about what made our Mother’s Day service so special.

And tomorrow I will have something VERY special from that day for you!!  So don't forget to stop back by.

Single Mother’s Prayer

Stepmother’s Prayer

Grandmother Raising Grandkids Prayer

Mothers with a Strained Relationship with her kids Prayer

Today I want to leave you with our last two prayers.  First, a prayer for moms who have lost a child.

Father,

Thank you for giving these moms’ who have lost a child the strength and courage to come to church on Mother’s Day. That deep sorrow that comes from being separated from a child is so enormous… but YOU understand our pain. What a comfort it is to know that You understand and have been with us through it all.

Thank you Father that even though our stories have deep grief… that is not the end of our stories. Your word says that You will take our mourning and clothe us with joy, that You will give us a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning and praise instead of despair.
Lord, gird these moms with strength, comfort and joy. Place in them a hope for the future that can only come from You.

In Jesus Name

Second, a prayer for ladies still holding the promise of children in their hearts but not yet in their arms.

Oh Lord we come before you today with thanksgiving; we give you all the praise for you are the creator of life and the giver of all good things.  We thank you that you knew us in our mothers' wombs and that we were beautifully and wonderfully made. We thank you that we were created in your image and likeness and that you have a plan and purpose for our lives.

Lord we ask in the name of your son Jesus for life everlasting for all of these women and their families. Lord you said where one person was saved, their whole household would be saved and right now we stand in the gap for those who believe this in Christ Jesus. We ask in His name not only for salvation for them and their families but for the life-giving breath you might have for their unborn. Oh Lord we call forth your good will and ask for those babies you would have planned for each family. We ask for that love through which your will might be revealed. We ask for conception and the creation of life, for in you is light and there is no darkness at all.

We come against infertility in the name of Jesus and anything that would hamper your plans for this world. Forgive us of all our sins and anything that would separate us from your love. Protect us with peace when things are not going our way, and remind us that all things are ultimately in your hands. Help us to understand your timing Lord, that we might prepare a way for you even in the desert. Cause us to expect rain in the drought.

We rest in you Lord, and know that your will is perfect. Your way is higher than our way and your thoughts are higher than our thoughts. Lord your word says that we were created a little lower than the angels, and we thank you for the trust you have placed in us as parents and future parents. I pray for protection over all our families and call forth those who are pregnant with expectancy, Father, that in their spirit they might be still and know that you are God.

We thank you for the gift of children and for entrusting us with your most precious possession of all. Help us to be good, Godly parents to our children and to have the courage to raise them according to your good and perfect Word. Let us prepare our vessels for bountiful blessings and harness our minds in advance with prayers in to give you the glory for new life, new birth, and new spirits in you Father God.

We praise you and we thank you, in Jesus' name.

Thank you Melanie and Heidi for your prayers for these ladies.
